Disneyland, as you probably know, is closed right now. Did you know that it’s only the 4th time in history that’s it’s been closed? According to the site MoneyVersed, the other three times were the day after JFK was assassinated, the Northridge earthquake, and on Sept. 11th. When Disneyland opened in 1955, it cost $1, these days it’s pushing $135. This one is fun, there is a small basketball court on hidden on top of one of the rides, the Matterhorn, because there was a Anaheim city ordinance that prohibited structures from exceeding a particular height unless it was a sports facility.
