Stolen Andover Fire Hydrant is back

New Jersey State Police have completed their investigation into the theft of a fire hydrant in Andover Borough last week. The heavy cast iron hydrant was taken moments after it was knocked over during a car accident January 21st on Route 206. Two young men were seen putting the hydrant into the trunk of their car and driving off. A few days after the crash two juveniles were contacted by state police and they have returned the hydrant. It was probably just a teenage prank. We're not sure how much trouble the kids are in. The identity of the pranksters has not been released because they are under the age of 18. No further details have been released by the New Jersey State Police.
