On Saturday, November 30th, from 10am to 4pm, visitors are welcome at the Lusscroft Farm Benefit Holiday Event at 50 Neilson Road, Wantage, NJ.
Three historic buildings, will be open: the Manor House, the Carriage House, and the Holiday Cottage! Tour the festively decorated Manor House, learn the history of Lusscroft and the restoration progress that has been made, and relax in front of the massive fireplace enjoying the live music performed by the Skylands Dulcimer String Band. Ascend the magnificent spiral staircase to see the model train display and the history displays, showing both the Lusscroft agricultural research history as well as memories from when it was the 4-H Camp. Peek inside the bedrooms and see the progress that has been made in restoration and furnishings.
Volunteers have filled all three floors of the 19th century Manager's Dwelling with holiday items to create the charming Holiday Cottage. New and gently used holiday related items and gifts are available to purchase, as well as tasty items from the bake sale.
Get started on your holiday gift list by shopping in the Carriage House! It will be filled with unique local vendors and talented crafters displaying their products, so please support our local talent! Satisfy your appetite enjoying scrumptious lunch items at the Food Truck by Chefdnj.
There is a $5 per adult (kids free) admission to the Manor House. Funds raised go to restoration efforts at this historic farm. Presented by the all-volunteer, nonprofit, Heritage and Agriculture Association, Inc., in cooperation with the NJ DEP/Division of Parks and Forestry.
