Today is National Nurses Day which begins National Nurses Week that runs through Friday, May 12. That is the birthday of Florence Nightingale, considered the founder of modern nursing, who was born in 1820. Nightingale became well-known while taking care of wounded soldiers during the Crimean War. If you know of a nurse do something nice for this giving medical professional. Send that nurse a card of thanks or maybe even something special. A fruit basket sounds great. You have to keep it healthy, right!
