I think I am one of the lucky ones...so far!
I got my flu shot a couple of months ago and despite friends and colleagues around me getting struck with the bug going around, I have been unaffected (knock on wood). I'm not doing anything different than I normally do, except for maybe getting a lot more exercise by walking a lot lately. And believe me, I've had to endure the everchanging weather patterns, going from unusually warm to brutally cold and all points in between.
I know flu shots sometimes don't work for everyone, but it was a safeguard measure I took when I visited my doctor before the bug started to go around. Thankfully, it's working for me!
