Ask A Mom!

This is "finals"  week  for many college students all over the states. There's so much pressure on these kids to do well. Here are some tips on how to help release final exam pressure My son, as you know is at the Ohio State University. I imagine it's scary being so far away from home with no one but yourself to count on to get you through.

ASK A MOM is a capaign on the OSU campus which is spread throughout the campus.  Moms set up tables at different busy student traffic places designated by the campus. They hand out healthy snacks to the weary students, give encouraging words, give support and comfort to those who need as the stress is real for these kids, but what I love most is they gave HUGS!  YES HUGS to those students who are near and far from home and just need a HUG from a MOM!

Did you just tear up? I did.... with my boy being SO FAR away from me, knowing that the ladies of my parent pack are there for him makes me feel SO much better!

These amazing women featured here have gathered donated treats from local businesses around the campus and from us "non" local moms who shipped goodies to them (thank God for Amazon).  I met my Buckeye family when we all joined the OSU parents FB page. These women: Anjali Parekh (who organized our table on the south oval) Shannon Book, Stacey Henderson Bauyemer, and Betsy Santoro Fernandez represented the "MOM love" from us parents to the students, friends and family.

These and other moms like Anjali Paraekh and Kathy Azbill Barbarita will be there again this weekend April 28th and 29th to spread the snacks, encouragement, support and HUGS to the students as they approach their finals and the final weeks of the semester.

I'm planning to be there myself either in August during move in weekend, or at some point during the year to be a part of this "ASK A MOM" campaign so STAY TUNED
