An Alligator Found In A New Jersey Pond

An alligator was found and in a Jersey pond.  This alligator was possibly owned by someone as a pet, then released once it grew.  Fish And Wildlife put the Old Bridge Animal Shelter in charge of catching the alligator.  Just to be clear, we will not be showcasing alligators on my Adopt A Pet Of The Week feature.  We'll stick to cats and dogs thank you!  I've also learned that "animal control officer," is a career I could never ever do.  Imagine walking your dog when all of the sudden you see an alligator nearby?  YIKES!  Alligators are impressive animals.  One of my favorite things at the New Jersey State Fair Sussex County Farm & Horse Show this year was their alligator demonstration.  I learned so many fascinating things about them.  You can enjoy the video below that I took on Facebook Live.  Educational, and entertaining.
