Taxypayers Guide To Education has come out with a list of the 50 New Jersey school districts spending the most money educating per student. We have some schools in Sussex County making the list, with Hamburg, High Point Regional, both make the top 50. Our local elected officials always stress that just because we are in a rural community, doesn't mean that education is cheaper. There are still costs to operating buildings and with teachers living in a high cost of living state, expenses can add up quickly. You may remember last month when we discussed how all but 4 schools in Sussex County are losing funding over the next 7 years due to Governor Murphy's new budget.
