A JetBlue flight from San Francisco to New York was forced to land in Salt Lake City, Utah because of an unruly passenger. Officials said that the man, identified as 53-year-old Brian Regan, walked off the plane as soon as the doors opened and refused to comply with the commands of responding officers.
As Regan walked up the jetway the police officers had to use tasers to subdue him. He continued to resist arrest and spit on one of the officers as they attempted to put him into a police car. He was taken to jail and is facing charges of assault on a police officer, interfering with an arresting officer, disorderly conduct and intoxication.
According to KUTV, Regan became irate shortly after the plane took off because a flight attendant refused to serve him alcohol. He allegedly grabbed her face and cursed her out before storming through the cabin and hitting TV monitors.
After Regan was removed from the plane it continued to New York without incident.
