My Very Happy Weekend in pictures

My weekend started a day early on Friday instead of Saturday. Last week I found out Kim would be moving back to my house in Pennsylvania with Gracie. Friday was the day I drove out to Long Island and packed everything up for their return trip home. There was hardly enough room for Gracie and her car seat. By Friday night they were back and settled in.

Saturday morning watching Gracie finally get to play with her Barbie Dream House made my day. Then it was off to the Salvation Army store in Port Jervis to donate some clothes that were too small for Gracie. While I was there I decided to browse. I found a couple of beautiful like new Van Heusen dress shirts for 2 bucks. My sons always tease me about buying "dead peoples clothes" at that store. My feeling is the Salvation Army is a wonderful organization. The clothes are donated so whatever I pay for them goes to a great cause.

My weekend project was cleaning the dust and dirt from the ceiling fans in the kitchen and living room. I glanced up on Saturday and saw the dirt literally hanging off the blades. It was time.

Since my team the Jets hasn't made the Super Bowl in 50 years Super Bowl Sunday isn't much of a big deal to me. I do love all the sales the supermarkets have before the big game and take full advantage of them. Last night we had pizza bites, pierogis and beef teriyaki for dinner. Not exactly a party but everything was delicious. I made the beef teriyaki from scratch with left over stew meat in my freezer. It was a big hit. I'll make my bourbon boozy chicken wings for dinner today.
