This was a pretty relaxing weekend. Which doesn't mean I did nothing. Actually, a lot was accomplished. Friday morning I said my weekend was pretty much an "empty canvas." When I got off the air and back to my office there was already a message on my phone. Pastor Diane from my church was listening and texted me: "Youth Group is tonight." I planned to help but the reminder was nice. The youth group meeting at the United Methodist Church of Matamoras is always fun. I learn while helping with the kids. Everybody gets to eat ice cream too! .On Saturday I pulled the lawn mower out of the shed and brought it to my friend Austin at Sawkill Power Equipment in Milford. My lawn mower took a beating last summer but I know when I get it back it will run like new. My son Matt stopped by Saturday afternoon and gave me a very nice pair of shoes. He only wore them once and said they were too tight for his wide feet. They fit me nicely. I guess Steve Madden is a pretty expensive brand. I'm glad my kids like me and give me stuff. My cat Daisy woke me up early Sunday Morning. She's used to getting fed at 3:30 AM during the week. She woke me up at 6AM. I guess she let me sleep in enough. Then to my dismay I realized we were out of cat food. By 6:30 I was at Walmart buying cat food and bird food. Speaking of birds I also cleaned the bird cage Sunday morning. I was already up, why not? After church I went to Shop Rite and used my coupon to get a great deal on corned beef for St. Patrick's Day. I have more coupons so I'll be buying more corned beef for the freezer. This is the only time of the year you can get a great corned beef deal. Which makes St. Patrick's Day even better. Sunday Night I reached out to my west coast cousins. My last two west coast vacations with Roger and John have been awesome. There's a good chance we will do it again this year.
