A group of talented kids will be getting up very early Saturday morning but they'll have a wonderful experience. They'll be helping to lead the oldest and most popular St. Patrick's Day Parade in the world in New York City. The Vernon Township High School Marching Band has been a source of community pride for many years. The band has marched in the New York City St. Patrick's Day parade before. This year's appearance will be very special because they'll be one of the bands leading the parade. Each time a high school band marches in the parade they move up. This shows just how many years Vernon Township High School's Marching Band has had the honor of participating. The parade gets underway at 10:45 Saturday morning. You can watch live on NBC TV New York.
