It's time for baseball and some new ways to enjoy your hot dog.

My dad took me to my first baseball game almost 50 years ago. A Mets Phillies double header at Shea Stadium. It's one of my fondest memories. Dad couldn't wait to buy me my first hot dog. In between games I was finally feeling hungry and he bought me a hot dog. He said "Hot Dogs always taste better at a ball game." He was right. Then he brought me ice cream. That tasted better at the ball game too. This year according to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council 18.3 million hot dogs and 4 million sausages will be consumed during this year's baseball season. At the top of the list Dodger fans will eat 2.7 million hot dogs. Dodger Dogs as they are called are pretty famous. I actually had one last year. It was good but over rated. That's a review from a Mets fan. San Francisco Giant fans will enjoy the most sausages about 450,000. Some Major League Teams are doing some very creative things with their hot dogs this year.

The Chicago Cubs: Southwest Fiesta Hot Dog is topped with chili lime cream and pickled peppers.

The Detroit Tigers: Coney Dog Egg Roll is an egg roll stuffed with cut up hot dogs and sprinkled with onions and mustard

The Minnesota Twins: Broomstick is a two foot long hot dog smothered in chili, cheese, grilled onions and jalapenos.

Here's my favorite:

Arizona Diamondbacks: All Day Breakfast Dog which is Hash Browns, Cheese, Bacon, Fried Eggs and Green Onion on an 18 inch hot dog. OMG is that even possible!
