My "Looking Ahead" weekend in pictures

The toughest part of having to share my weekend activities is coming up with a theme. I didn't plan the "Looking Ahead" theme in advance. It's just how everything came together. Friday Evening I helped with our youth group meeting at The United Methodist Church of Matamoras. One of the fun games we played was bouncing plastic balls off the side of the church. Then catching them in little buckets. We had a great time and didn't break any windows. Kids are the future of our church. On Saturday I did a couple of things to make the future better. Kim's boyfriend helped me re-purpose my 20 year old waterbed frame into a frame that perfectly fits my queen mattress. In the future my bedroom will have more room. Then my pregnant daughter said she had a "craving" my hamburger bake for dinner. The recipe came from a Bisquick Box 25 years ago. How could I say "no?" Grandchildren are my family's future. Speaking of grand children: Miss Gracie used her new "kid friendly" nail polish to paint grandma's nails on Sunday. It was adorable. Sunday afternoon I also made a decision for my future. I booked flights to visit my cousin John in Portland, Oregon next month. It will be my first trip to the Pacific Northwest.
