Sunflowers are gorgeous. Some grow over 6 feet tall. One day I'd love to grow them in my own yard. But for now I'll just have to enjoy them as a visitor. According to the Sussex County Sunflower Maze Facebook page: "More flowers are starting to bloom each day. The colored sunflowers are beautiful. The yellow sunflowers are starting to pop up. Most field have green buds but they are showing signs of starting to open. Every year for the past 10 years a family farm on Route 645 in Sandyston has been planting more and more sunflowers. Last year 1.5 million sunflowers grew at the farm. Admission is 10 dollars for adults, 6 dollars for kids and children 3 and under are free. Visitors are welcome to stay, take pictures and enjoy the beautiful sunflowers all day. The Sussex County Sunflower Maze is open daily from 9am to 6pm. If you want to visit you'll have to do it soon. They hope to be open most of September but as their website says: "It's up to mother nature."
