A Federal Grand jury in Pennsylvania indicted Dr. Martin Evers of Milford, Pennsylvania last week. He's been charged with prescribing narcotics to a patient without a medical purpose. U.S. Attorney David Freed alleges the prescriptions provided by Evers caused the death of one of his patients 5 years ago. The prescriptions provided by Evers were for Fentanyl, Methadone and Diazepam. Evers is an internist affiliated with Bon Secours Hospital in Port Jervis, New York. He is 61 years old.
