Pictures from my Pacific Northwest vacation

I returned to work on Friday but decided to wait until Monday to post pictures of my vacation in Portland, Oregon. After two long flights and 4 action packed days I knew the actual weekend would be spent recovering. My cousin John and his wife Juliet were my gracious hosts during my visit. They live with their son Johnny in the city of Portland. John and Juliet took me to some amazing sites during my visit. They made me feel very comfortable. It was great to share our memories of growing up and to make new memories many years later. The most impressive sight was Mount Hood. To put it into perspective Mount Hood is 5 times higher than High Point Mountain. My first full day in Oregon we went to a state park with great views of the mountain from Lost Lake. I rowed a boat for the first time in 35 years. It was great exercise and the boat actually moved pretty well. The second day we visited the Oregon Coast. Haystack Rock on Cannon Beach is a 23 stories tall. It's one of the largest "intertidal" structures in the world. What an amazing sight. My last day we stayed in Portland. We hiked to the Wildwood Trail to the top of a mountain over looking the city. Then visited the world class rose garden at Washington Park. Check out all of my pictures for the other places we visited and the two new cocktails I tried.
