James South turns 100 on October 7th. His late wife Sophie mailed him many love letters during World War II when he was stationed in Normandy, France. On Friday he asked for 100 cards on his 100th birthday. His request has been shared on Facebook more than 1,500 times. He lives at Brookdale Senior Living in Watauga, Texas.
