My "Ready for Fall" Weekend in pictures

I was off from work this weekend and didn't have any special plans. We all need weekends like that every once in a while. Of course, I found things to do to fill the time. This past week a rock went through my sons windshield. So my Saturday morning was spent getting that replaced. Saturday afternoon my daughter suggested making my boozy bourbon barbecue sauce and trying on boneless ribs. The results were delicious but the sauce could have used more booze. Sunday was so cold, wet and dreary none of us had any desire to go outside. It was the perfect day to bake cookies, carve a pumpkin and binge watch Forensic Files. Pumpkin carving is something I did with my kids for many years. It was never one of my favorite things to do. This time as the grandpa I got to watch Gracie and her dad have all the "fun." When I told Gracie we would save the seeds and plant them next year. She happily made a pile of the slimy pods for me. Then told her mom she wiped the slime on her pajamas.
