My "I'm Grandpa" Weekend in Pictures

Kids grow up fast. So do grand kids. Miss Gracie is already 4 years old but she's going on 12. When I was raising my own kids we laughed a lot together. People who are able to laugh at themselves just seem happier to me. Sometimes when others kids came over they had a hard time understanding that we just didn't take ourselves too seriously. This weekend I realized when it comes to my grand daughter Gracie the apple didn't fall far from the tree. When I got home from Subaru World of Newton Saturday afternoon I put my car keys, wallet, sunglasses and Subaru hat on the dining room table. A little while later Miss Gracie put the hat and sunglasses on picked up my tape measure and started to impersonate me getting ready for work: "I'm grandpa, I have to go to work..I need my glasses...Where's my wallet...I can't see." What she did made me laugh all weekend. Speaking of Subaru World it was great to see so many people when I was there. Subaru World will be a drop off center for Project Self Sufficiency's coat drive all month long. Afterwards we went out for an early dinner with my stepson and his daughter Shyann. Gracie and Shyann love spending time together. On Friday I was at our Stuff the Bus Preview at the Homestead Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. The staff and residents there have helped with Stuff the Bus from the very beginning. Listeners have already filled one big box with donations. Thank You. My weekend home project was cleaning my oven. It's my annual ritual right before Thanksgiving.
