Vernon Man Sentenced to Probation for Possession of Cocaine

A Vernon man was sentenced to one year of probation on Friday for possession of cocaine. According to the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office, Ryan Platt pled guilty to third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance in January.

The 22-year-old was reportedly questioned by state police when they responded to a report of an erratic driver and things being thrown out of a vehicle window.

Platt was given 42 days credit for time already served and mandated to complete 50 hours of community service.
