Corona Virus: Much has changed since yesterday

A lot has changed since yesterday. I came in early this morning to try and gather as much of the latest local Corona Virus information as possible.

Here's what we know as of 6 this morning. There are no confirmed cases in Sussex County. One suspected case has been reported in Pike County. In Orange County a health employee of Middletown City Schools possibly has Corona Virus. So schools are closed today as a precaution. Schools are also closed in Sparta and Hackettstown today. These closings were planned in advance. Performances of Wallkill Valley High School's Spring Musical "Freaky Friday" were postponed yesterday after Governor Murphy recommended cancelling all gatherings of 250 people or more across the state.

Right now New Jersey has 29 confirmed cases. One of the new cases we found out about yesterday was in Butler. New York has 328 confirmed cases. Most of those are in Westchester County. Where 148 people have Corona Virus. Pennsylvania has 22 confirmed cases. Montgomery County has the most cases with 13. There is one new case in Pike County and one in Wayne County.

Governor Murphy of New Jersey and Governor Wolf of Pennsylvania are recommending gatherings of 250 people or more not take place until further notice. In New York City, Mayor DeBlasio has declared a state of emergency. He has banned all gatherings of 500 people or more. That includes Broadway Shows and Sporting events.
