After the events of this week I really didn't feel like going anywhere this weekend. So I didn't. While I was home Saturday afternoon my son Matt and his girlfriend Jess surprised us with some wonderful news. They are now engaged. We all new it was going to happen soon. The original plan was for Matt to propose in Jamaica next month. When that wasn't going to happen he surprised Jess by proposing on Point Peter high above the City of Port Jervis. The red candles in the shape of a heart were a lovely touch. Where did my son learn to be such a mush? I am overflowing with happiness! The rest of the weekend was pretty calm. My church had it's first on line service. Honestly, it was nice but just not the same. My grand daughter Gracie made me laugh a few times. First, when she filled her toy shopping cart to the brim to see how many toys she could fit before they started to fall out. Then when Kim was baking cupcakes with her. Putting the bowl on her head for a few laughs. Who do you think taught her that? Sunday night I made boozy chicken wings. I added a little extra bourbon this time. After this past week it was well deserved!
