Coronavirus Update: N.J. N.Y. Pa. April 9 2020

Shoppers and employees at New Jersey Supermarkets and other retail stores will have to wear face coverings. Governor Phil Murphy's latest executive order also limits the amount of customers allowed in a store to 50 percent capacity. As of yesterday, New Jersey has over 47,000 cases of Coronavirus and over 1,500 have died. In Sussex County there are now 355 cases and 16 people have died. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the highest one day number of deaths yesterday but said the number of hospitalizations is still decreasing. New York now has over 140,000 cases of coronavirus with over 5,500 deaths statewide. The governor said the curve is flattening but this is not the time to stop "doing what we're doing." In Pennsylvania it looks like to curve is beginning to flatten as well. The number of new cases announced yesterday was over 1,600. The total number of Coronavirus cases in Pennsylvania is 16,000. Over 300 people have died.
