State Police say "Wave" parties are allowed

It took a few weeks but better late than never. Yesterday New Jersey State Police Superintendent Patrick Callahan clarified how law enforcement should be handling "wave" parties in New Jersey. Callahan clarified the meaning of stay at home orders issued by Governor Murphy back in March. The State Police now say "wave" parties are permitted because they are not "actual gatherings." As long as a "wave party" is a drive by event it is allowed according to Callahan. What's not permitted are gatherings at a particular location like a church or school. At his press conference yesterday Governor Murphy also announced "hard dates" to re-open New Jersey's economy would be coming soon.
