As Murphy eases some restrictions Oroho says we can open more

In a press release sent to news media yesterday afternoon 24th district State Senator Steve Oroho praised Governor Murphy for easing some restrictions on commerce but went on to say its time to move "even quicker." Oroho said the governor's office should review "detailed business opening plans submitted to the governor's office by business coalitions and individual industry groups that incorporate accepted social distancing practices." The senator went on to say: "We shouldn't need governmental committees and sub-committees to come up with additional plans that will likely reach similar conclusions." Oroho said now that we have gone beyond flattening the curve to bending the curve: "I'm increasingly concerned that we are not giving equal weight to our economic health." NJ.COM is reporting the impact of the economic shutdown could lead to a 10 Billion Dollar short fall in the state budget. Yesterday, Governor Murphy signed an order that allows non-essential businesses to open for curbside pick-up and non-essential construction to resume with social distancing at 6 o'clock Monday morning. Drive through events like drive in movies and church services can begin immediately as long as participants stay in their cars. Locally, Space Farms Zoo and Museum will be opening their drive through zoo on Friday May 22nd.
