Outdoor swimming pools have been open since June 22nd. Now indoor pools and spas can reopen as well. Governor Murphy's announcement came during a press briefing yesterday. Of course, with the reopening came restrictions. Indoor pools will only be allowed to open at 25 percent capacity with social distancing in place. Some of the other requirements are: 1) Lap swimming in one direction per lane. 2) Face coverings are required on pool decks 3) Outdoor air must be circulated in as mush as possible 4) High touch areas must be cleaned and disinfected regularly. 5) Indoor locker rooms remain closed. The reopening order covers pools and spas at campground, clubs, churches, daycare centers, parks, retirement communities, health spas, apartment complexes and hotels.
