City of Port Jervis Police were busy late Monday Night as gunfire erupted in two locations within minutes. The first call came in at 8:42 pm after two 16 year old boys were shot at the intersection of Bacelow Street and Seward Avenue. Both young men were taken to the emergency room at Bon Secours Hospital. One suffered a serious back wound and required surgery. The other boy was shot in the arm. As of this morning both are reported to be in stable condition. The bullets came from a pistol. As police were investigating the first shooting more shots rang out around 11:30 pm near where the shootings took place. This time shots were fired into the living room of a home on Hammond Street. The people who live in the home were not injured. So far no arrests have been made. Anyone with information can call the Port Jervis Police confidential tip line 858-4003
