New Bi-Partisan Bill does not include a stimulus check

It's by no means a final solution to the debate over how much and what the next economic stimulus should be just a partial one. Representative Josh Gottheimer and several other lawmakers have proposed a $908 Billion economic stimulus bill that does not include a check for individual tax payers. The bill does include over $200 Billion in non taxable forgivable loans for small businesses, $120 Billion for state and local governments, $180 Billion to extend the additional $300 a week unemployment benefit and $92 Billion for education aid and child care as well as $45 Billion for aid to airlines and public transportation. Democratic U.S. Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Republican U.S. Senators Mitt Romney of Utah and Susan Collins of Maine also support the proposal. The lawmakers say the bill is only a 4 month emergency relief package until the new Congress approves even more economic aid.
