SCCC and Centenary freeze tuition for the next school year

A report in the New Jersey Herald says Sussex County Community College in Newton and Centenary University in Hackettstown will not be increasing tuition for the 2021-2022 school year. Federal relief has been a help to both the college and university. SCCC has received about $319,000 in federal aid while Centenary has been given $32,000. SCCC's Chief Financial Officer says the school has been able to avoid furloughs and severe cutbacks because of sound financial practices. This spring SCCC is offering 25 percent off tuition. So far enrollment is going well but slightly off the pace from last year.
