Just about all of us are ready to get out and really go somewhere! A New Jersey shore town just got rave reviews from a trusted source. Parents Magazine has just named Cape May, New Jersey the best East Coast beach town for kids. Every year the magazine gives out awards "Parents Travel Awards" in several different categories. The award categories include Best Adventure Resorts, Best Beach Towns and Best Camping Trips. The magazine described Cape May as: "Time warped in the best way possible" and goes on to describe Cape May's "Victorian Cottage rentals, red and green trolleys and salt water taffy shops." The town's beaches are described as "true gems." I'm surprised the article didn't mention the cool ferry to Delaware. The Best Kids Resort winners included: Smuggler's Notch in Vermont and Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia. The Best East Coast Camping destinations included Sandy Pines in Kennebunkport, Maine and Jellystone Park in Golden Valley, North Carolina.
