Fireworks laws vary state by state. In Pennsylvania all fireworks available in retail stores are legal. Laws are more stringent in New Jersey and New York. Phantom Fireworks is the nation's largest retail fireworks company. For the second year in a row they're warning customers to shop early because fireworks might be in short supply. Last year fireworks were in short supply because just about every public fireworks celebration was cancelled. Which sent customers to fireworks stores to buy their own fireworks and have their own celebrations. This year there is a global supply chain problem. 99 Percent of all fireworks sold for backyard celebrations in the United States are imported from China.
