The Earth will be impacted by a strong solar flare that happened this weekend. According to The Space Weather Prediction Center a Coronal Mass Ejection from the sun will trigger geomagnetic storms. Which will create conditions that allow the Northern Lights to be seen much farther south than usual. NASA says the Aurora Borealis might now be seen low on the horizon as far south as Boise, Idaho, Indianapolis, Indiana and Washington, D.C. Right now experts are saying the storm is not extremely major. However, it could result in power grid fluctuations and satellite orientation issues as it continues to build.
