Today is the last day to get a mail in ballot in New Jersey

Today is the last day New Jersey voters can request a mail in ballot from their county clerk's office. After today there are still 3 ways to vote in this years election. The most traditional way is to vote in person at your local polling place on Tuesday November 2nd. Last year in person voting on Election Day was not an option in New Jersey. This year it is. One new way to vote this year is early in person voting. I spoke with Bob Giles Director of the New Jersey Division of Election last week about this last week. Early in person voting is going on now and will continue through Sunday October 31st at 6 PM. There are three places to vote early in Sussex County. The Louise Childs Library in Stanhope, The Wantage Library and at The Sussex County Fairgrounds. Each location is open from 10 AM to 8 PM Monday through Saturday. This Sunday you can vote from 10 AM to 6 PM. Registered voters in Sussex County can vote at any of those 3 locations. A poll worker will have you sign an electronic poll book when you arrive. Then vote as you normally would on Election Day. Voters can also vote in person by absentee ballot at the Sussex County Clerk's Office during regular business hours. This is a traditional paper absentee ballot you simply fill out and turn in right there at the clerk's office. County Clerk Jeff Parrot announced extended Saturday hours for his office yesterday. This Saturday you'll be able to fill out an absentee ballot from 9 AM to noon. The last day to vote in person before Election Day is Monday November 1st by 3 PM at the Sussex County Clerk's Office. On Election Day polls in New Jersey are open from 6 AM to 8 PM.
