My "Here Comes Santa" Weekend in pictures

Saturday was such a dark cold day. My plans for the morning were cancelled. So I ran a few errands and took Miss Gracie to get her haircut. The rest of the day I memorized the script for the Sunday School Christmas play at our church. I didn't have to memorize the script but since I had the time I did it to make the performance go smoother. I wanted to concentrate on being "jolly" for all the kids. Rather than reading my lines from the script. Gracie played Mary. She loved being on stage and even waved to mommy and uncle Matt and Aunt Jess. Oh no! Another member of the family in show business! I love working with the youth group and Sunday School kids at the United Methodist Church of Matamoras. We had a great time doing the play and the congregation loved it. The church was full. My son Matt and his wife Jess came to see Gracie's first play. They did not know I was going to be Santa Claus. After the play I asked my son how I did as Santa. His review: "How come you weren't that jolly when we were kids?' My answer: "Because I like the Sunday School kids better." One more thing: We put up a gate around the Christmas Tree to discourage Christopher from removing the ornaments. The gate was not high enough. LOL!
