My Epic Weekend In Pictures With Good Food

This was definitely a fun, memorable and delicious food weekend. I didn't have too many hard set plans in place other than hopefully watching my Boston Celtics with game 1 of their playoffs. We'll start my Epic Weekend with Friday night. I always get excited by Friday afternoon knowing any one of my adventures might lead to me seeing some wonderful friends. Friday after work I went to Hef's Hut in Vernon and enjoyed some laughs with my besties Brad and JG. It was PACKED with golfers all over the place. Tell me it's an 80 degree Friday in April without telling me it's an 80 degree Friday in April? We had fun seeing all of the golfers out having fun enjoying the summer like weather kicking off their weekends.

Friday night we ended up at Kite's for a quick nightcap. We had so much fun hanging around and busting on each other like brothers. Brad the Yankee fan was having fun bringing up our Red Sox past heartbreaks, whether it was Bucky Bleeping Dent in 1978, or Aaron Bleeping Boone in 2003. He even brought up us losing to The Mets in 1986 with the Buckner incident. He was on a roll of Red Sox Hate! LOL. All good.

Friday I had an early night in and then decided to stay up watching Blue Bloods on CBS. I'm so happy that they've extended their deal with CBS for at least one more season next year. I absolutely love that show.

Friday night I received an email from work informing me that I would have to fix some things that were broken on our Poughkeepsie and Hudson radio stations before Monday morning. I decided to go into work Saturday morning and get the fixing of issues out of the way as soon as possible. I'd much rather just rip the band aid off and get it done. It only took me approximately thirty minutes or so to fix the broken issues. All good.

Saturday morning after work I was able to head over to Vernon and see my personal massage therapist, Elaine. I needed her big time. We hadn't been able to have an appointment within the past couple of months, so my stress to my neck, back and shoulders was intense. I told her how I was so desperate without her when she wasn't available that I went to get massages at Rockaway Mall, twice! Knowing I had no other option my dear friend Elaine Villano supported me immediately. She got a ton of intense knots out of me, that's for sure. I felt like a new person walking out of there for sure. You can always feel free to look her up online, or direct message me on how to get an appointment with her.

Saturday afternoon I was relaxed for sure. My friends were nudging me to go to a house party an hour south of here and I just wasn't interested in it. Sometimes you can be in the mood to go to a party where you don't know anybody, sometimes maybe you aren't. I just didn't have the energy to go to a party where I didn't know anyone. I wanted to stay in, low key, and watch my Boston Celtics play their playoff game. Yes, I know it was only game 1 in a best of 7 series, but I love watching them and always have. Through good years and bad I've always loved watching the Celtics. Some years I had more fun going to their games when they were having awful years and still cheering them on loudly.

All of the sudden I started texting my bestie Jennifer. She had to work Saturday morning just like me. We were both hungry for lunch and impromptu made a plan to meet up at Jimmy Geez North on 23. I was craving their spicy garlic wings and was annoyed last time I got them my allergies prevented me from eating them. I was very happy with my selection of boneless spicy garlic wings and waffle fries. My bestie Jennifer and I had a fun time enjoying our meals. Only one negative. I was getting ready to leave Jimmy Geez as The Celtics were getting ready to tip off and start their game. I swung by The Irish Cottage Inn on my way home to watch the game for a bit, before watching the rest of it at home. I was able to time it at halftime pretty good without missing too much of the game, and I was psyched to see The Celtics win game 1. When The Celtics and Bruins are both in the playoffs by Marathon Monday, we are happy! Shout out to Bruins legend Zdeno Chara for finishing today's Boston Marathon in 3 hours and 33 minutes btw!

I had fun watching The Celtics win. I was happily in sweatpants on my couch without a care about leaving my place. After The Celtics won, I didn't really have any kind of a plan. I texted my bestie Jennifer asking if she was in sweatpants mode on her couch like I was. She confirmed and then told me she was watching a Hallmark movie. There wasn't anything overly exciting to me to watch, so I ended up on The Hallmark Channel. Definitely the first time I have searched for The Hallmark Channel on my guide. It ended up being an okay romantic comedy. Could've been worse. Overall it was a nice, quiet Saturday night in solo on my couch. I was happy with that.

Sunday it was time to meet up with my bestie JG for brunch. I hadn't done brunch in quite some time. JG wanted to try a steakhouse in Warwick. We went to the restaurant that I won't name, because we were there for 10 minutes and nobody served us or even seemed to want us there. They weren't even busy either. I'm a pretty patient guy when it comes to that stuff, especially having so many friends who work in the hospitality industry. I just ran out of patience after ten minutes. JG and I agreed to bounce.

We ended up again at Old Stone House Inn. I had lobster cocktail, and steak and frites. My meal was absolutely fantastic. We were so happy that we pivoted to this plan B. JG and I agreed this was definitely one of our better pivots.

After that I enjoyed just relaxing on my deck enjoying the beautiful weather. I watched golf then had a pretty early night in.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my Epic Weekend In Pictures. Time to start planning next weekend!
