As a new wave of COVID-19 is leading to an increase in new cases nationwide, several New Jersey healthcare facilities are returning to mask mandates. New Jersey's largest healthcare system -- RWJ/Barnabas Health -- urges patients and visitors to wear masks, although compliance is voluntary. Meanwhile, an announcement on the website of Hackensack Meridian Health says the system is requiring masks at its facilities in Manahawkin, Old Bridge and Belle Mead. Governor Phil Murphy says he does not see a need for a statewide mask mandate right now.
