Cara here came to us from Virginia to find her new forever home! This cutie just turned a year old, and we believe she is some kind of Terrier mix. Although she has the hair of a terrier (meaning, she's low-shedding!), she is has the body type and is super smart! She is 50 pounds and being a year old, she is fully grown. Cara is very energetic and loves to run around and play, especially with other dogs! She would love an active family to keep her on the move - she could keep up with you on a long hike, or simply running in the yard for hours playing with her favorite toys! Cara is also incredibly dog-friendly - she actually helps us "test" if other dogs are dog-friendly as well, and loves going on tandem walks with her best buddies! She's been to multiple events and just loves playing with the other dogs there and meeting new people! Since she is still so young, she will need training to help her become the best pup she can be. Good thing she is super smart! We are working on training her here at the shelter, and are constantly amazed by how intelligent and quick to learn she is! Just a year old, she still has puppy energy (and love!), but all she needs is a little training in a real home. In return, she'll give you all the love you could ever want! Cara is such an amazing dog, when you come meet her, you'll fall in love, just like so many of our staff and volunteers!
