Capital Health, a healthcare network in New Jersey, has fallen victim to a ransomware attack. This cyber assault comes only days after a similar incident at the Hackensack Meridian Medical System. Capital Health, known for its progressive patient care and advanced technology, operates hospitals in Trenton and Hopewell, with offices in Mercer, Burlington, and Bucks Counties.

Despite the network outage believed to be part of the cyber attack, Capital Health officials have assured that they continue to provide care for patients while working diligently to restore their network. The healthcare system, which recently earned the Magnet® designation for the fifth consecutive time for its high-quality nursing practice, is committed to maintaining its standard of care during this challenging time.

Capital Health’s facilities include the state-designated comprehensive stroke center, the Level II Bristol-Myers Squibb Trauma Center, and Mercer County’s designated Emergency Mental Health Services Center. It also offers a new approach to senior living through its Capital Healthy Living program.

Hackensack Meridian's Pascack Valley continues to divert patients to other hospitals while it resolves its ransomware attack.
