The State of New Jersey and the Policemen's Benevolent Association Local 105, the largest correctional police officers union in the state, have ratified a new four-year contract. The agreement, which benefits approximately four-thousand correctional police officers, provides an across-the-board salary increase of 3.5 percent each year over four years, enhancing both salary and benefits for the officers. The four year contract is retroactive to July 1st, 2023, and is valid through June 30th, 2027.

PBA Local 105 represents state corrections workers and is a part of the New Jersey State Policemen's Benevolent Association. The NJSPBA is an organization that provides support and assistance to law enforcement officers in New Jersey in the form of legal protection, legislative news, pension planning, a survivor and welfare fund, a special services outreach program, NJ's Cop Shot program, and clinical services.

The New Jersey Department of Corrections, which operates 9 correctional facilities, 11 Residential Community Release Programs, and 1 Assessment Center, is responsible for approximately 12,000 state-sentenced individuals.
