Tonight is the big one for New Jersey's Theresa Nist, who back in November was selected as the winner of ABC's hit TV series, The Golden Bachelor. Tonight, her wedding will be seen nationwide in a live TV special.

Nist, age 70, hails from the town of Shrewsbury in Monmouth County. Victory was hers in the finale of the show, as Gerry Turner, the 72-year-old namesake of the show, proposed to her after nine episodes of searching for a second chance at love. The couple's decision to marry so soon after the proposal was met with support and enthusiasm, with Turner stating that they did not have time to waste considering their age.

Tonight's wedding ceremony is to be filled with the presence of family, friends, and even fellow contestants from The Golden Bachelor. Dubbed as 'The Golden Wedding', the event will be aired on ABC starting at 8pm. The wedding will also be available for streaming on platforms such as Hulu and Disney Plus the next day.

As the wedding approaches, there has been a good deal of interest surrounding the event. Nist was seen donning a sparkling sequined midi dress for her rehearsal dinner, hinting at the style that viewers can expect from the actual ceremony.

The wedding is set to take place at the La Quinta Resort & Club near Palm Springs, California
