My Epic Weekend In Pictures

This weekend wasn't as action packed as last weekend when my parents were visiting, that's for sure! I definitely had some fun memories with friends all throughout the weekend. Friday night I had fun with a friend who works for Fedway Liquor Distributors, and together we've been working on a project that I'll be able to speak about soon. Tito's plus Pet Of The Week can be a beautiful pairing! We had a celebratory Old Fashioned drink at The Irish Cottage Inn Friday night. We had fun and enjoyed the drinks made by bartender friend B-Rad. Right after he made one for my friend, he announced that he only had a small, tiny glass available for me. The jokes were writing themselves after he poured my Old Fashioned into a very tiny glass.

After that round I was able to meet up with besties Brad and Steve at Kite's. Long story short, it looks like Brad and I are going to see Pearl Jam in Las Vegas on May 16th. I haven't been to Vegas in 11 years. I can't wait! I love Vegas, and Pearl Jam is of course my favorite band. Let's go!!!!!

Saturday morning, bestie Artie Flynn came through in the clutch for me. He was able to borrow bolt cutters, came over and helped remove my broken electric grill. It's one of those things that wasn't really out of sight out of mind until it was gone. My deck now looks so weird without the grill I've had there for several years. I think I'll start investigating possibly getting a new one to replace it.

After that successful project I ventured off to Rockaway Mall. I got one of those massages in the middle of the mall. They helped my chronic neck and shoulders a little bit. We'll take that win.

When I got to Rockaway Mall, I texted my author friend Leslie. A couple of Rockaway visits ago she reminded me how close she lives to Rockaway Mall. I texted her, and she invited me over. She was having a sweatpants chill day while working on her next book. It was great to catch up with Leslie and I met her Mom too.

Saturday afternoon I then was able to see friends at The Cottage before heading home for an early quiet night in. My Fedway friend recommended that I watch this Netflix special called "American Nightmare." You can see more about it by clicking here. Basically a guy has his girlfriend over, they're woken up in the middle of the night by kidnappers. Everyone for a couple of days suspects that the guy killed his girlfriend. Then when she gets dropped off at her parents house, a nation thought that she did a kidnapping hoax. They thought it was just like the Ben Affleck movie Gone Girl that came out the year before. This series was intense and chilling. I'm definitely happy I watched it, even though the scary music I still can't get out of my head. Here I am literally surrounded by music radio stations and still can't get the chilling special out of my brain.

Sunday was a little bit more of unplanned adventures. My bestie Carrie texted me letting me know that her dog Jasmine isn't doing well. Jasmine is one of my absolute favorites. I went to ACME, figuring why not, I'm due to give flowers to some besties. I got one bouquet for bestie Carrie, and one for bestie Jennifer.

I then hung out with Carrie for a bit, we then met up with besties Artie and Margie at Crystal Tavern. We then met up with friends Tim and Bernadette at Skylands Craft Beer & Wine Garden. We had a great time, and I was happy to bring my own car and leave after one good craft beer. It was an early night in for me, and I am happy with that.

Overall the weekend went great. I'll miss my old electric broken grill, but we can always get a new one down the road. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my Epic Weekend In Pictures. Time to start planning next weekend!
