The tri-state area is experiencing a bout of unpredictable weather. After a rainy start to the day, temperatures are expected to rise to 85 degrees. However, a significant cool down is anticipated to begin tomorrow, with temperatures dropping by approximately 30 degrees by Friday.

Despite the fluctuating temperatures, Saturday is forecasted to be a dry day. However, showers may return on Mother's Day, potentially dampening outdoor celebrations.

"It was a delightful Tuesday. Sunny skies and a warm southwesterly breeze brought temperatures to around 80 degrees during the afternoon. A storm system then moves in early on Wednesday starting a stretch of unsettled days. While it will be warm initially, cooler temperatures will then make their way into the tri-state region," reported PIX11.

The rest of the week is expected to remain unsettled due to a frontal boundary to the south of the region. This could result in intermittent showers on Thursday and Friday. Despite the rain, temperatures are expected to rise again on Sunday, reaching the upper 60s.
