The Pike County Emergency Services Initiative Fund (PCESI) has received a $25,000 donation from Kinder Morgan, Inc., a significant boost to its mission of supporting emergency medical services training in Pike County. The generous donation was presented by Allen Fore, Vice President of Public Affairs at Kinder Morgan, at the Pike County Commissioners Meeting on July 17, 2024.

The PCESI fund, administered through the Greater Pike Community Foundation, was established in 2019 by the Pike County Commissioners and Public Safety Department. The fund's mission is to provide adequate funding to qualified Pike County emergency services agencies and other nonprofit emergency response organizations. This is achieved by supporting and providing access to training programs that advance the cause of emergency medical services in the county.

Since its inception, the PCESI has provided 34 aspiring EMS recruits with $1,400 each in free training and supplies, totaling $47,600 in scholarship assistance.

Allen Fore stated, “Kinder Morgan is committed to public safety and is pleased to contribute to the Pike County Emergency Services Initiative Fund. Ensuring our first responders are adequately trained and protected is at the forefront of Kinder Morgan’s community outreach.”

Donations to the fund can be made online at the Greater Pike Community Foundation website or by mailing checks to P.O. Box 992, Milford, PA 18337.
