The Sussex County Library System (SCLS) is celebrating Library Card Sign-up Month this September with a series of exciting offers and prizes. Residents of Sussex County, excluding Sparta, who sign up for a new library card during this month will receive library swag as a welcome gift.

In addition to this, every time a library card is used in September, the cardholder will be automatically entered into a weekly drawing. Prizes include a foldable SCLS tote and a 40 oz. water bottle with a reusable straw.

Library patrons can also participate in a photo contest by posting a picture of a book or other library item they've enjoyed and tagging @sussexcountylib or emailing it to sussexsocial@sussexcountylibrary.org. Participants will be entered to win an SCLS canvas book tote filled with books. The grand prize winner will be selected in October.

An SCLS library card provides round-the-clock access to a vast collection of digital resources. The library system, which includes six branches open six days a week, offers books, audiobooks, music, movies, devices, and more. It also hosts a full calendar of events.

Library cards are available to anyone living, working, or attending school in Sussex County, excluding Sparta. Applications can be made in person at any SCLS location or online.
