Wawa Celebrates Teachers with Free Coffee for Two Weeks

The Wawa gas station, fast food restaurant, and convenience store.

Wawa is celebrating the return of the school year with its "Cheers to Classrooms" initiative. From Monday, September 2, through Sunday, September 15, teachers and school staff can enjoy free hot coffee of any size at all Wawa stores in the Mid-Atlantic region. This includes stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and Washington, D.C. The initiative was also launched in Alabama and Florida in August.

To avail of the offer, teachers and school staff simply need to inform the associate at the register that they are a member of a local school system. The offer is valid in-store only and does not apply to the Wawa App and delivery services.

Dave Simonetti, Senior Director of Store Operations at Wawa, expressed his delight at the initiative. He said, "As everyday heroes of the classroom return back to school, we’re delighted to toast a new year by providing free coffee to teachers and school staff for the first two weeks of September. We hope this small gesture shows our deep appreciation for everything educators and school staff do for children in the community."
