Flu Shot Clinics Scheduled Across Sussex County

The Sussex County Division of Health's Office of Public Health Nursing has announced a series of flu shot clinics to be held this October. The clinics, which require residents to make an appointment, will be held at various locations across the county.

The cost of the flu shot is $25, or $65 for a high dose. However, the vaccine is free for those with Medicare Part B and any Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan. Payments can be made by cash or check, as credit and debit cards are not accepted.

The schedule for the clinics is as follows:

  • Byram Firehouse: Wednesday, October 9 from 10 a.m. until noon. The firehouse is located at 225 US highway 206 in Byram.
  • Dorothy Henry Branch of the Sussex County Library: Thursday, October 10 from 3 to 5 p.m. The library is located at 66 Route 94 in Vernon.
  • Sandyston Municipal Building: Saturday, October 12 from 10 a.m. to noon. The building is located at 133 Route 645 in Sandyston.
  • Fredon Civic Center: Saturday, October 19 from 10 a.m. until noon. The center is located at 436 Route 94 in Fredon.
  • Sussex-Wantage Branch of the Sussex County Library: Wednesday, October 23 from 4 to 6 p.m. The library is located at 69 County Road 639 in Wantage.
  • Knoll Heights Senior Center: Thursday, October 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The center is located at 40 Trapasso Drive in Sparta.
