This Weekend definitely flew by and had some Epic, fun parts for sure! I was able to start preparing for the next wedding I'm officiating in mid October, and had some delicious food all along the way. Friday night I was able to have a great dinner at Industry Kitchen & Bar in Sparta. I was so happy that they had filet mignon on the menu as a special. They absolutely nailed it medium rare and everything because redder is better! I even had the chocolate chip cookie skillet for dessert! I was in a happy food coma after all that. They hooked me up with a table in the corner so you have a nice view of everything with the gorgeous ambiance.
Saturday I was able to go over to hang out with besties Spooner, Denise and Nick. Denise and Nick are getting married in October, this will be my next one officiating. Just over a year ago I had never officiated a wedding, now next month will be my third time doing it! We were able to go over my script template and start planning everything out. It was so much fun seeing them happy and excited for their upcoming special day at Mohawk House. Spooner was back to being his usual grill master self and nailed my filet mignon. I didn't plan on having filet mignon back to back days, but it certainly worked out pretty well!
Sunday was another big day. Surprise birthday for my dear friend Deb from Granny's Pancake. Tough to believe I had just moved here ten years ago for her surprise 60th. Here we are ten years later. I never thought I would end up in New Jersey for this long, but it has worked out pretty well for me. We had the party at Aquaviva on 23. Deb was definitely surprised, and it was wonderful getting to hang out with my friends. We all had a great time with many laughs. Shout out to besties Carrie and Jennifer who did a fantastic job putting together her surprise birthday party. My Jet fan friends were also very happy to see me after the Jets crushed my New England Patriots last week. They were definitely having fun taunting me.
Speaking of the Patriots, unfortunately for me they were on TV yesterday afternoon in San Francisco. They are just painful to watch sometimes, not getting out of their own way at times. My Fantasy football teams aren't doing much better than the Patriots. I might win in one of my two leagues this week, the other one probably not. All good.
Time to start planning next weekend. Sunday morning I'm at Audi Newton on 206 where we will be taking donations for Stuff The Bus. This is the earliest we have ever started taking collections for Stuff The Bus, and there is a huge need for it. They'll also have a couple of delicious food trucks there too!
