Talk about an Epic fun Fall Weekend In Pictures! My Weekend started in Hardyston where I was able to attend my friend Mackenzie's surprise 21st birthday party. Tough to believe I have known her for over ten years now! The birthday girl was definitely surprised, that's for sure! I had a great time spending time with new and old friends. It was so funny when my new friend Gerry said "oh you work in radio? Do you know Chris Marino?" I said "you mean the guy I talk to almost daily?" Chris is our Senior Vice President Of Programming for our Albany Area region, overseeing stations in Albany, Poughkeepsie and Sussex, New Jersey. He's basically my partner in crime, as he oversees the 17 stations, and behind the scenes I oversee 7 of our stations. Then I met my new friend Kristen, who is sisters with my friend Lauren who I have also known for years too. I looked at Eric and said "Eric, I've been friends with your Aunt Lauren for YEARS! We have all known each other for years, yet didn't realize the additional connections we had. Talk about a small world! We ended up having a great time. I had fun doing a picture with Mackenzie, and then having our bestie Jennifer take a picture of me taking a selfie with Mackenzie. I was having way too much fun with taking pictures of us taking pictures. Shout out to Kristen, Gerry, Will, Carrie and Deb for doing such a great job with this fun party. It definitely put my weekend in a fun direction!
Saturday was an early night in for me. Friday I made the decision to attend the NY Giants game at Metlife Stadium. I really do love seeing friends and going to the games a few times a year. You could even hear my parents be happy that I was going to the Giants game with my friends. The weather was beautiful. A little chilly at times, but all good. I was just happy we weren't getting cold rained on at the game. Unfortunately between work being so busy, I couldn't make it to my friends Sally and Peter's Halloween party in Warwick. I had my Belichick hoody on and was ready to go, but my friends pulled me aside and said I looked too tired to go all that way. I listened to them, even though I wish I had the energy to go to this fun party. Next year!
Sunday it was time to meet up with besties Artie and Margie, along with our besty Roy. We met at 7am while it was still dark out, ready to make our way to Metlife Stadium. The tailgate was fantastic as usual. The food was absolutely delicious. I had a great time with friends at the game. It's so fun seeing those friends you see tailgating a few times a year. They brought me in like I've been family with them for many years. Artie and Margie's friends are so inclusive and welcoming. We're very lucky.
As for the New York Giants game? The results definitely once again left a lot to be desired. I think my good luck charm for the Giants streak is done. They have lost a few games I've gone to in a row. That being said, I don't think I'm the reason why they keep losing. We had a great time at the game despite the loss.
Overall we had a great weekend. Time to start planning next weekend. It will involve Santa Claus! Saturday at Industry in Sparta we'll be having our annual 102.3 WSUS Christmas Kick Off Party! Merriam Ave in Newton and Sussex Christian School will both be doing Christmas carols on site. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there for free pictures. I love that we have them available for pictures so early in the season so it's one less thing for you to worry about during the holiday season. I love when we can streamline and simplify life! Bring on Christmas!
