The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced lane restrictions on Interstate 80 in Monroe County, which may cause delays for motorists. The restrictions, which will affect both directions of the interstate, are due to construction work related to the I-80/Exit 308 interchange reconstruction project. The work is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 2 p.m. today.
The affected area is between Exit 307 and Exit 309 within East Stroudsburg Borough. PennDOT has urged drivers to exercise caution when driving through the work zone, adhere to the posted speed limit, pay close attention to signs and flaggers, turn on their headlights, and avoid all distractions.
